Every Tuesday morning, the AM Bible Group meets at the church. We invite all to join us for the hour of study of God’s word.
Open Arms Child Development Center
We provide a Christian curriculum to over 130 children on a daily basis. What an opportunity to give these children a good basis for their spiritual life.

Redeemer Food Kitchen
Lutheran Church of the Ascension is just one of the volunteer organizations that assists Lutheran Church of the Redeemer in their mission to the homeless. We volunteer one Friday out of each month at the food kitchen to serve the homeless.
The Book Club
The Ascension Book Club meets every other month in members’ homes for fellowship and to discuss the current book selection. Information about the current selection is published in the monthly church newsletter and on The Lutheran Church of the Ascension Facebook Group’s page, including information about meeting date, time and place. Join the Facebook Group to get information when it is posted.

Braille
Lutheran Church of the Ascension has been making braille materials for over 30 years.
More than 180 million people around the world are experiencing life with a visual impairment. Among these, 45 million are blind and 135 million only have partial sight. There are countries where less than 10% of blind persons are literate. In a number of countries, less than 15% of blind children receive an education
We currently are producing a booklet titled “Teenagers Pray”. This booklet is shipped to every country in the world.
On average we make 20 booklets each month.
Many countries which do not allow religious materials in their country, do allow shipments of these braille materials because of the shortage of materials for the blind. This gives us an opportunity to reach people with the word of God in an otherwise prohibited place.
